DESIGN AMBIENTALE: TRA URBANISTICA E CRIMINOLOGIA

Anna Arena

Abstract

This research project aims at proving how intense and strong is the bond between urban organization, social policies and criminal and deviant behaviours. The project believes that the ascertaining of the return of dangerous classes (making suburbanites the object of the social issue) summarises excessively the global issue on delinquent behaviours. In other terms, it means to criminalize poverty. Proceding in such a way is dramatically suggestive of avoiding to take into account the combination of the true factors that caused a feeling of insecurity. This work ambitiously aims at prevent such a mistake: it tries to emphasize all those objective and subjective elements, essential to give a complete and punctual analysis. It offers the modest possibility to listen to those who are too often voiceless: it highlights the necessity of Environmental Criminology and its countless potentials.
