VECCHIE E NUOVE AREE DI GIOCO A SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA: UN’ANALISI COMPLETA
Abstract
Santiago de Compostela is a small Spanish city located in the NW of the Iberian Peninsula. As in other cities, safe and supervised spaces are sought in Santiago so that children can develop their playful activities. The article tries to analyze the transformations in the playing spaces of the city. In the first place, the traditional playing places are analyzed and a classification of them is proposed. Subsequently, the new locations are currently analyzed, as well as the role of institutions and associations in the reorganization of the spatial logic of children's playing areas. The most significant case is the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia, an example of a current cultural institution and complex in which the playful-children function is used to provide content to a very diffusely defined project.
